The Client: A young creative professional ready to evolve from Phase 2, post-college living and upgrade his space.

The Brief: New apartment, new life era. The client was happy to say farewell to virtually all of his prior furnishings so we were free to set an entirely new tone. A fresh start across the board.

First up, we evaluated the floor plan to develop a layout that worked for the patterns of life today, while leaving room for flexibility later. Finishes and furnishings were then selected for their timelessness and modernity - materials that will age gracefully, classic silhouettes, a palette of colors that are warm and serene. Lighting contributed to the balanced mood of structured ease.

Inspiration: The stripped back sounds of the Strokes. Rothko’s saturated colors. Crisp graphics of the NYC subway.

The Result: A sophisticated space that serves a busy professional life while offering a welcoming respite at the end of a long day.
